Bailey Quillin

About

Bailey Quillin is an illustrator, author, doll-maker, and creative instructor who hails from the sticky swamps of Florida and Georgia. Some of her greatest influences growing up were Harold and the Purple Crayon, The Muppets, The Brothers Grimm, Brian and Wendy Froud, loud and obnoxious rock n' roll music, and scary stories of any kind. Bailey majored in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art & Design and later wrote and illustrated her first children's book, Kris & Krampus Kringle, in 2016.

Bailey enjoys working with watercolors, pencils, polymer clay, pen and ink, human blood, and other traditional art mediums to create all of her monsters, enchanted cottages, and haunted woods. Her work is often inspired by mythology, esoterica, childhood nostalgia, weird history, and fairytales without any morals.

After living in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade Bailey relocated back to the Deep South where she currently resides in the Atlanta area with her weird husband (Alberto), adorable son (ConrĂ), and feline/canine familiars (Circe and Medusa, respectively.) Bailey still enjoys working as an art instructor and life enrichment director for all ages in order to spread the strangeness to as many other people as possible.
